TOM FORD FOR GQ RUSSIA OCTOBER 2011

Tom Ford was named Russian ‘GQ’s’ International Man Of The Year, and this title has honored him with the appearing on the cover of the October issue. European magazines are best known for being more provocative than American ones (sometimes they get all the same, boring), but even the photo of Ford testing fragrance strips from a naked woman’s crack didn’t make it on the front. SAD.

IDOL MAGAZINE - THE FUTURE ISSUE

The Future Issue” (their second issue), featuring Jonas Kloch & Ruby Slate Balthazar, photographed by Jessica Klingelfuss and styled by Gabrielle Stival.
Their vision: IDOL is not just a name, IDOL is an attitude, a way of seeing the world without fame-tinted glasses. Born from an adoration of relentless ambition and the ‘go getter’ generation, we seek to bring truly inspirational people to light and give them the recognition they deserve.
I personally think this is one of the best new fashion magazines. They have unique perceptions of the fashion and especially in this issue 'the Future'. Check it out some of their editorials after this.

V MAGAZINE'S BLACK AND WHITE BALL

As Fashion Week drew to a close last month, the A-list of the industry gathered last night for V Magazine‘s Black and White ball. Guests partied at the top of the Standard Hotel, many dressed in the evening’s thematic color scheme. Carine Roitfeld, Theophilus London, Alexander Wang,Prabal Gurung, Linda Evangelista, Cynthia Rowley, Joseph Altuzarra, Lindsay Lohan, Lindsey Wixson, Karlie Kloss. In addition to Sky Ferriera singing "If You Could Read My Mind" and the cast of Priscilla - Queen of the Dessert performing, DJs Lady Bunny and Sebastien Perrin kept the crowd dancing to Beyonce throughout the night. I think this was the highlight party for New York Fashion Week! Wow!

LADY GAGA'S MONSTER BALL - NICK KNIGHT - RUTH HOGBEN

As part of her Monster Ball world tour, Lady Gaga with Nick Knight and Ruth Hogben created a number of films to use as part of her on-stage performance and as interludes in the epic show. Building film into the architectonic feeling of the Monster Ball tour, these four films explore notions of fame, iconicism and life in an evolving metropolis. These are the 3 videos i like most from this series: Poker face, The city and Pawns up!
